Texas Friendly Hospitality Instructor Training
How It Works:
We focus on training participants to become program instructors for their own employees and communities. After the initial training leaders will be able to conduct and perform customer service workshops. Leaders must perform one customer service workshop on their own before becoming certified. Instructors must submit an Instructor Reporting form after every workshop is conducted. Once a reporting form is submitted the leader will receive their Instructor Training certificate, and be on their way to providing customer satisfaction throughout their communities.
Who Could Benefit:
Everyone benefits from great internal and external customer service. This program is ideal for Texas AgriLife Extension Agents, City & County Government employees, Chambers of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Community Leaders, Main Street Directors, City Parks Department Personnel, and anyone who wants to be able to identify their customers’ wants and needs, and to provide them with consistent, personalized, amazing service.
The Workshop:
Typically, this is a two part workshop that consists of two four hour sessions that are divided between two days. The first session is typically in the afternoon and is an information based session. The second day is a morning session and gives the participants a chance to practice the previous day’s material. Instructors who have been actively conducting workshops have the opportunity to attend only the first day session to refresh their skills and obtain the newest information and materials.
**To be considered an “Active Instructor” it is recommended that you have performed at least 2 training workshops is the last 12 months.**
Cost:
$200 per participant - This fee covers the cost of training and all resource materials. This cost does NOT include travel, lodging, or meals.
**For active instructors attending only the first day session the cost is $100 per participant for recurrent training and new materials.**
We are actively pursuing dates for upcoming workshops in 2009 and these dates will be published as soon as they are determined.

Note: Certified instructors may only conduct customer service training workshops. In other words, only Texas AgriLife Extension Service or those specifically designated are authorized to conduct "Train the Trainer" workshops for the purpose of training new instructors. |
