Comparative Study on National Parks between China and U.S. (Focusing on
heritage sites)Short
Bio:
I am a 1st year Ph.D. student in Department of Recreation,
Park, and Tourism Sciences, Texas A&M University. Before coming to TAMU, I
received a bachelor degree on Environmental Science and a master degree on
Tourism Planning and Management. In the meantime, I worked for Global
Village of Beijing, a very famous NGO in China and successfully assisted
the launch of Earth Day 2000-China. After graduation I served as an urban
planner and inspector for 3 years in the Ministry of Construction, P. R.
China. My research interests include World Heritage Site management,
cultural tourism and urban and regional tourism planning. Park Break 2008
will be a great opportunity for me to get involved in the conservation and
development of National Park System.
