Short Bio:
Originally from Maine, Tim moved to North Carolina in 2003.  Tim is currently working toward his Ph.D. in Geography at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  He  works with Dr. Tom Whitmore (Dept. of Geography) and Dr. Paul Leslie (Dept. of Anthropology) on issues broadly related to population/environment interactions, complex adaptive social/ecological systems, and resilience in the developing world.  Specifically, Tim is interested in the relationship between conservation and livelihood diversification in northern Tanzania.
