USING RPTS FTP SERVICES

In addition to being able to access your files on the RPTS server while in the building, you can also use a FTP client to access your files from any internet connection. The preferred FTP client of RPTS computer support is Filezilla. Please follow the link below to download and install the client.

CONNECTING TO THE RPTS FILE SERVER

In addition to being able to access your files on the RPTS server while in the building, you can also use a FTP client to access your files from any internet connection. The following drives are located on the RPTS server:

G: WORKGROUP
P: PERSONAL DRIVE
T: TEMP (T DRIVE)

Please use the following information to make your connection to the RPTS file server.

HOST NAME: rpts.tamu.edu
PORT NUMBER: 21
USERNAME: Your RPTS username
PASSWORD: Your RPTS password 

CONNECTING TO THE WWW WEB SERVER

You can also connect to our web server to make changes to the webpages that you have access to. To make necessary changes, you will need a web editing software such as Dreamweaver or Frontpage. The following drive is available on the WWW web server.

Please use the following information to make your connection to the WWW server.

HOST NAME: www.rpts.tamu.edu
PORT NUMBER: 21
USERNAME: Your RPTS username
PASSWORD: Your RPTS password
